The Dark Web The Deep Web Essay - 1696 Words

The Dark web, sometimes considered the deep web, has been a controversial topic that has attracted many different points of view regarding its usage. The dark web essentially creates a difficult to track, anonymous internet browsing session by using proxies and other methods. The dark web allows information and data to be gathered and utilized without the user having knowledge as to where the data had come from. Using a proxy makes the user s IP address constantly change so that they cannot be tracked easily. The main argument involving the dark web is if the government should attempt to regulate and monitor the dark web in the effort to reduce the amount of illegal transactions and activities that occur on the dark web to reduce crime. The dark web has been a topic of much debate in regards to having the dark web regulated by the government in the attempt to reduce crime. Many individuals believe that the usage of the dark web has been a contributing factor as to why crime levels have been increasing. By imposing regulations in the dark web, the government would potentially be able to crack down on the illegal activity that occurs on the dark web. These government actions hope to prevent assassinations, prostitution, child pornography, and the sale of drugs as well as to track down the perpetrators as well as protect the victims of such crimes. Imposing such regulations and surveillance on the dark web has been advocated by many individuals, mainly those who haveShow MoreRelatedThe Wide Web : The Deep Dark Web1779 Words   |  8 PagesThe Deep Dark Web. The Future of Fashion-Samples for Students- Assignmenthelp.com

Question: What are the Advances in Technology Influence in Fashion Answer: The Future of Fashion The fashion is changing continuously. New ideas and styles are coming up and merging with the old styles. Today the word is changing and the society is becoming a Utopian society. In this utopian world it is believed that technology will save the world. Feminism is becoming more famous and effective and therefore it is influencing the dresses in the society. Fashion is always altered and tested. Over the years more and more modes have expressed their own personal styles and beliefs. The idea of what is feminine and what is masculine is still there. As one of the eminent person stated, after she was asked that what she thinks about fashion in the upcoming future, she replied Feminism is dead in the world. It comes from another time. I am a feminist. I want to fight, but I dont see many people with this desire to fight for something. Women dont help each other, especially in fashion. Just like her statement, this generation is moving towards comfort and free style. The future is all about comfortable fashion. Women are wearing dresses in which they are comfortable in. In the event of 2017 Spring Fashion Collection, the fashion of both male and female models showed the diversity in fashion. In this event fashion for women was thin and slender and male fashion means muscular and well built and however today fashion is changing and these ideas are becoming old fashion. In this event the female models were dressed in a strong and bold way, their dresses were expressive. There is a firm look in their style and gesture. The male models in this event are not so muscular which also change the stereotyping of male and female bodies. It is bringing a positive change in the future world and there will not be any catalogue or rule of how a male model should look like and how a female model should look like (McRobbie 2013). This event was very successful; all the top iconic fashion designers were present in this event like Alex Perry, Kym Ellery and fashion line like Jac and Jack and many more. All of them appreciated the show. Alex Perry shared his view by saying that This is the future of the fashion world. Todays fashion will be referred as the smart fashion, people wants to dress according to their regular need and comfort Most of the people who came in this fashion show, be it a fashion photographer or fashion designer and even common people they all agree and vote for this new fashion trend. As a nineteen year old girl, was asked that what does she thinks of this collection and from her body language it was understood that she was really excited and happy about this collection, she said I am ecstatic to see this, the collection was very elegant and sophisticated and yet comfortable, few dresses can are so appropriate to be worn in both party and office, this fashion gives a strong and affirmative looks, after seeing this show it is reminding me of the movie wonder woman, where Gal Gadots outfit gives a strong look, the outfit ca n termed as seductive, but it portrays the character of an independent woman, similarly this event shows the boldness in with a strong fashion statement. Just like female models the male models also wore colorful outfit. The change in this fashion industry is visible and it proves that the modern world is going to be far bolder about their dress sense and exposure (Barthes 2013). The utopian fashion will bring change in every genre of fashion; it is becoming less unusual to see men wearing makeup and feminine clothing. The female models are changing too, both physically and radically. The uniqueness in this event is that models are of different sizes, it is not following the stereotypical zero figures anymore. Rather different sizes are accepted; women wearing tattoos have become more acceptable and have become its own genre in the modeling industry. This event has brought out an idea and made sure that people got the message. The idea and the concept of women to love their body have been portrayed in this show. As an old lady has been interviewed after the event and has been asked her about the concept to that she replied I loved the idea that how every size of models have taken part in the show, t he short hair has become the new trend, I really like how the stereotypical image of a woman is changing. This statement adds a lot of value to the fashion industry as it is coming from a person who is one generation up. The Utopian theme of the event worked as wonders in the fashion world. Physical Aging Ectocranial Suture Closure

Introduction Forensic science revolutionized crime investigation strategies (White Folkens, 2005). There is no need to elaborate on its importance because it is a well-known fact that innocent people are convicted while guilty criminals are acquitted if forensic anthropologists fail to provide accurate analysis of the evidence collected by law enforcement agencies (Katzenberg Saunders, 2008).Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Physical Aging: Ectocranial Suture Closure specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More One essential aspect of forensic science is the ability to determine the age of the skeletal remains at the time of death (Lieberman, 2011). The technique is called the ectocranial suture closure method. Traditional adult skeletal aging methods focused on four main regions of the human body: 1) the pubic symphysis; 2) auricular surface; 3) sternal rib ends; 4) cranial sutures (Cox Mays, 2000, p. 70). However, the f ocus of this presentation is on ectocranial suture closure. Cranial suture closure is a technique discovered in the 16th century. However, it was considered as an unreliable adult skeletal aging method. However, anthropologists Meindl and Lovejoy re-evaluated the whole process and came up with a revised method called the ectocranial suture closure method. Methodology This particular technique calls for the examination of the state of closure of the sutures of the skull at defined points on the cranium (Meindl Lovejoy, 1985). There are two major steps in the application of Meindl and Lovejoy’s revised endocranial suture closure method. In the first step, the anthropologist uses a complete skull and takes data measurements from a specific suture observation site called the Ectocranial Vault sutures. In the second step, the anthropologist takes data measurement from another suture observation site called the Ectocranial Lateral-Anterior sutures. These two steps comprise the ect ocranial suture closure method. After the establishment of the specific suture observation sites, the anthropologist will gather data using the revised method developed by Meindl and Lovejoy.Advertising Looking for report on aging? These ten sites were divided into the â€Å"vault system† and the â€Å"lateral-anterior system† (Steele Bramblett, 1988, p.57). It is imperative that the anthropologist accurately identifies the specific location of the sutures in accordance to the framework developed by Meindl and Lovejoy. The following information can assist the anthropologist in determining the actual suture locations (see Table 1). Points of the Skull Definition of Terms Mid-lambdoid Midpoint of each half of the lamboid suture Lambda At lambda in pars lambdica of sagittal and pars lambdica of lamboid sutures Obelion At obelion in parts obelica of the sagittal suture Anterior sagittal Point on the sagittal suture at the juncture of the anterior one third and posterior two-thirds of its length (usually near the juncture of the pars bregmatica and pars verticis of the sagittal suture Bregma At bregma in pars bregmatica of the coronal and pars bregmatica of the sagittal sutures Mid-coronal Midpoint of each half of the coronal suture in parts complicate of the coronal suture Pterion At pterion, the region of the upper portion of the greater wing of the sphenoid, usually the point at which the parietosphenoid suture meets the frontal bone Sphenofrontal Midpoint of the sphenofrontal suture Inferior Sphenofrontal Point of the sphenotemporal suture lying at its intersection with a line connecting bot h articular tubercles of the temporomandibular joint Superior Sphenofrontal Point on the sphenotemporal suture lying 2 cm below its juncture with the parietal bone Table 1. Definitions of suture observation sites. After the specific locations were identified, the anthropologist uses a four-point scoring system. The scoring system uses the following criteria: 0 = no observable closure; 1 = minimal closure; 2 = significant closure; and 3 = complete obliteration (DiGangi Moore, 2012, p.78). After observing the ten specific sites, the anthropologist will use a table of composite scores and a mean age and standard deviation for each score (DiGangi Moore, 2012, p.79). The anthropologist compares the values generated and uses the table to determine the estimated age of the skeleton. Research Findings The ectocranial suture closure technique should become one of the major age determination techniques made available to anthropologists. The technique is based on a reliable framework. I t is advantageous to use this particular technique especially when it comes to determining the age group. Moreover, this technique provides the capability to determine the age of the skeleton if other techniques are non-available. At the same time this technique can be used to validate age estimated generated by other techniques.Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Physical Aging: Ectocranial Suture Closure specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The ectocranial suture closure can help provide an age estimate of the skeletal remains. But scientists are unable to provide a clear explanation when it comes to the correlation of suture closure and age. Another major disadvantage of this technique is the broad age intervals. The broad range intervals can be a problem when it comes to forensics. Forensic anthropologists are faced with the challenge to provide accurate estimates of age while taking into consideration human varia tion in the aging process (Dirkmaat, 2012 p. 203). According to one commentary, â€Å"the narrower, or more precise the age estimate given, the more helpful it can be to law enforcement when eliminating possible identities† (Dirkmaat, 2012 p.203). Critics are quick to point out that this particular technique is an unreliable skeletal aging method (Meindl Lovejoy, 1985 p. 57). Detractors rejected cranial suture closure and remarked that it cannot be trusted (Meindl Lovejoy, 1985, p. 57). Nevertheless, after an in-depth study on different techniques, it was discovered that â€Å"no single skeletal indicator of age at death is ever likely to accurately reflect the many factors which accumulate with chronological age, each of which contribute valuable information to the age estimate† (Meindl Lovejoy, 1985, p. 65). It o therefore important to useIt is therefore imperative to reconsider the value of the ectocranial suture closure as an alternative tool in the determinatio n of the age of the skeleton at the time of death. Conclusion The ectocranial suture closure technique is not reliable when it comes to precise age estimates. Anthropologists said that there are broad age intervals. At the same time they cannot provide a clear explanation with regards to the correlation between suture closure and age of the skeleton. But this technique is useful when it comes to the determination of age groups, whether the skeleton belongs to a child or an adult. Furthermore, this technique is useful when it comes to the validation of age estimates provided by other skeletal age determination techniques.Advertising Looking for report on aging? Orbital Definition and Example

Orbital Definition and Example Orbital Definition In chemistry and quantum mechanics, an orbital is a mathematical function that describes the wave-like behavior of an electron, electron pair, or (less commonly) nucleons. An orbital may also be called an atomic orbital or electron orbital. Although most people think of an orbit regarding a circle, the probability density regions that may contain an electron may be spherical, dumbbell-shaped, or more complicated three-dimensional forms. The purpose of the mathematical function is to map the probability of the location of an electron in a region around (or theoretically inside) an atomic nucleus. An orbital may refer to an  Ã¢â‚¬â€¹electron cloud having an energy state described by given values of the n, â„“, and mâ„“ quantum numbers. Every electron is described by a unique set of quantum numbers. An orbital can contain two electrons with paired spins and is often associated with a specific region of an atom. The s orbital, p orbital, d orbital, and f orbital refer to orbitals that have an angular momentum quantum number  Ã¢â€žâ€œÃ‚   0, 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The letters s, p, d, and f come from the descriptions of alkali metal spectroscopy lines as appearing sharp, principal, diffuse, or fundamental. After s, p, d, and f, orbital names beyond  Ã¢â€žâ€œÃ‚  Ã‚  3 are alphabetical (g, h, i, k, ...). The letter j is omitted because it isnt different from i in all languages. Orbital Examples The 1s2 orbital contains two electrons. It is the lowest energy level (n 1), with an angular momentum quantum number â„“ 0. The electrons in the 2px orbital of an atom are generally found within a dumbbell-shaped cloud about the x-axis. Properties of Electrons in Orbitals Electrons display wave-particle duality, which means they exhibit some properties of particles and some characteristics of waves. Particle  Properties Electrons have particle-like properties. For example, a single electron has a -1 electrical charge. There are an integer number of electrons around an atomic nucleus.Electrons move between orbitals like particles. For example, if a photon of light is absorbed by an atom, only a single electron changes energy levels. Wave Properties At the same time, electrons behave like waves. Although its common to think of electrons as individual solid particles, in many ways they are more like a photon of light. Its not possible to pinpoint the location of an electron, only describe the probability of finding one within a region described by a wave function.Electrons dont orbit the nucleus like Earth orbits the Sun. The orbit is a standing wave, with the energy levels like harmonics on vibrating string. An electrons lowest energy level is like the fundamental frequency of a vibrating string, while higher energy levels are like harmonics. The region that might contain an electron is more like a cloud or atmosphere, except a spherical probability only applies when an atom only has a single electron! Orbitals and the Atomic Nucleus Although discussions about orbitals almost always refer to electrons, there are also energy levels and orbitals in the nucleus. The different orbitals give rise to nuclear isomers and metastable states.

In Europe, there is a more democratic practice of prospective employees themselves providing information â€Å"about themselves† (Perritt and Perritt, 11). In case of any unlawful behavior by employees, this document can be used as the employer to validate his/her innocence in the matter. US multi-national employers often conduct â€Å"written pre-hire tests† to assess whether the candidate has â€Å"the right skill sets or aptitudes† (Perritt and Perritt, 13). But in Europe, this kind of a test is not favored because of the â€Å"cultural and human resources† issues involved (Perritt and Perritt, 13). It is argued in European countries that such a test will evoke comprehension problems, translation issues and cultural confusions in overseas employees (Perritt and Perritt, 13). As the appl icant test responses are usually â€Å"private data†, in Europe, such tests will be against the data privacy laws (Perritt and Perritt, 15). Also, in Europe, there are severe restrictions on firing employees (Perritt and Perritt, 17). This makes the hiring mistakes tougher to rectify (Perritt and Perritt, 17). Even in such a situation, the European companies are known to stay away from intruding background check. There is also the instance of pre-hire drug tests, the approach to which US and European context differ greatly. In US, such tests are prevalent, while in Europe, they are unheard of (Perritt and Perritt, 3). But in Europe, â€Å"interviews with applicants’ past employers† is a tool that companies use to verify the background of their employees (Perritt and Perritt, 4). But in US, such an act may invite defamation litigations and misrepresentation suits for the previous employees and so they never disclose negative information (Perritt and Perritt,

Unit 36 - Coursework Example This made the recording of business transactions and activities an important factor. In recent years, accounting has undergone several transformations; among its purposes include having a permanent record of all of the business’ transactions, keeping records of income and expenses, and keeping records of assets and liabilities for ascertaining financial position of the business. Another purpose is to keep control of the expenses while maximizing profits, keep records of customers and the amount they owe to the business, know suppliers and their owing to the business, and eventually to have information for legal and tax purposes in relation to the location of the business (Juan 3). In this paper the chosen organization is Apple Inc. Like every other MNCs, Apple also publish their Cash flow statement, Profit and Loss statement and balance sheet every year. It is not only helpful for the investor to analyse the performance of the company but at the same time experts also make the ir prediction based on these report regarding how the organization is going to perform in coming years. According to Collins Richards, all income received and all expenditure spend in a business should always be accounted for either in terms of capital or revenue (42). The difference between capital and revenue items of expenditure and income is the total amount of wealth found in a business that has subsequently been used to produce income. In the books of accounts, capital does not change – it is maintained intact - separated from other forms of finance with a clear clarification showing losses and profits. Revenue items in the books of accounts on the other hand are either income or the expenditure showing the daily business transactions. Income is represented by profits while expenditure is represented by losses. As profits withdrawn from the income reduce the available capital, the losses

International risk management Essay Example for Free

International risk management Essay A Letter of Credit is a document issued by a bank at the request of its customer promising to pay the exporter for the goods and services provided that the exporter provides all the documents as stated in the terms and conditions. To the exporter a letter of credit guarantees payment and reduces production risk if the buyer has a change of his order. It ensures that buyers cannot refuse to pay due to complain raised over the goods. It also provides a chance to get financing incase of delayed payment. The importer can structure their payment plan, it helps confirm the shipment of the goods, helps them reduce pre-payment, it as well ensures that the exporter delivers exactly what the importer required it also creates confidence for bigger transactions in future. A bill of exchange is a document that acts as the evidence of a debt and informs the importer to pay the exporter a certain fixed sum of money at a certain specific time. They act as a guarantee that goods of certain stated specifications have been shipped and that and that that require payment. The Export-Import Bank of United States of America helps in financing sales of goods and services by proving guarantee of working capital loans, it helps crate jobs through export of goods, the bank guarantees the repayment of loans to foreign purchasers, it also provides credit insurance for U. S. exporters against. The disadvantage of the Export-Import Bank is that for it to support the products at least 50 percent of them must be from U. S and they should not have any negative effect to the economy. It also does not offer help to importers outside U. S. In conclusion, the letter of credit, the bill of exchange and the Export-Import Bank are very important for the import-Export business to prosper not only in U. S but also any where in the world.
